Privacy Policy

Your data is safe with us.

We treat your personal data responsibly, taking into account all relevant provisions of the applicable data protection law.

The range in the e-shop is limited to the territory of Switzerland and Liechtenstein.

Use of Personal Data

We only collect, use and transfer your personal data to third parties if this is permitted by law or if your consent to the collection of data is given.

Personal data means any information that can be used to identify your person and which can be traced back to you – such as your name, e-mail address and telephone number.

We process and store personal data only for the period necessary to achieve the purpose of storage, or as far as this is stipulated by the European legislator or other legislators by law or regulation to which the controller (responsible for the data protection) is subject to.

If the storage purpose is not applicable, or if a storage period prescribed by the European legislator or another competent legislator expires, personal data is routinely blocked or deleted in accordance with legal requirements.

We may share your information with other companies in our group to provide certain services. Group companies may be located in countries that do not ensure an equivalent level of data protection. We guarantee appropriate data protection through contractual agreements with the Group companies. You expressly consent to such data transfers.

If, in the course of our processing, we disclose data to other persons and companies (processors or third parties), transfer it to them or otherwise grant them access to the data, this is only done on the basis of a legal authorisation (e.b. if the data must be transferred to third parties for the fulfilment of the contract), if you have given your consent, if a legal obligation provides for this or on the basis of our legitimate intereests (e.g. when using agents, web hosts, etc.). If we commission third parties to process data on the basis of a so-called “contract processing agreement”, this is done on the basis of Art. 28 GDPR.

Collection of General Data and Information

Our websites collect a series of general data and information when the website is called up. This general data and information is stored within the server log files. The following information may be collected: (1) the browser types and versions used, (2) the operating system used by the accessing system, (3) the website from which an accessing system reaches our website (so-called referrers), (4) the sub-websites which are reached via an accessing system on our website, (5) the date and time of access to the Internet site, (6) an Internet protocol address (IP address), (7) the Internet service provider of the accessing system, and (8) any other similar data and information that may be used in the event of attacks on our information technology systems.

When using these general data and information, we do not draw any conclusions about the data subject. Rather this information is needed to (1) deliver the content of our website correctly, (2) optimize the content of our website as well as its advertisement, (3) ensure the long-term viability of our information technology systems and website technology, and (4) provide law enforcement authorities with the necessary information for criminal prosecution in case of a cyber-attack. We therefore analyze the collected data for the purpose of statistics and with the aim of increasing the data protection and data security in our company in order to ensure the best possible level of data protection and data security for the personal data we process.

Collection and Use of Personal Data

We collect and process your personal data only to the extent required for initiating, executing, or terminating a given transaction or your request. We also use your data to maintain our business relationships and to be able to offer our customers the best possible service and convenient access to our products and services.

Website visits and thus the effectiveness of marketing efforts is analyzed with a web analytics tool.

When you are browsing but not logged in, we do not collect personal data. In this case, we collect only information that cannot be associated with an individual (e.g., time, duration of visit, operating system, browser, page views).

Your first name, last name, and email address are stored when you create a login for the online store or subscribe to a newsletter.

We need a valid email address to create your account.

You have the opportunity to use the eLogisticNXT application of SFS Group AG, an all-in-one platform for transparent control and optimization of your material supply. In this process, your name, position, and business contact information will be processed by us.

If you use the mobile app of eLogisticsNXT, only your login data, as well as your first and last name, will be processed for authentication purposes.

This information is not transmitted to third parties without your consent. Partner companies we work with for order processing, website maintenance, or evaluation of service quality are exceptions. Employees of these companies comply with the same confidentiality standards as SFS Group employees. Partner companies may be based outside the EU in countries without adequate data privacy practices. In such cases, data privacy is ensured via contractual agreements with the company.

Our website also uses Google Marketing Platform services. These services use cookies to display ads relevant to the user, improve campaign performance results, or avoid the user being shown the same ad twice.

Google uses a cookie ID to capture which ads have been displayed in which browsers to prevent them from appearing multiple times. Google also uses cookie IDs to capture conversions, which indicate when a user sees an ad and then later visits the advertiser’s site and makes a purchase. Even if you are not registered with Google or are not logged in, the provider can still capture and store your IP address.

Cookies also help us understand if you take certain actions on our website after having called up or clicked on one of our ads on Google or another platform (Floodlight conversion tracking). Google uses this cookie to understand what content you interacted with on our website to be able to show you targeted ads later.

There are several ways you can decline participation in this tracking:

Facebook uses Facebook Pixel to identify visitors to our site as part of the target group for Facebook ads. Accordingly, we use Facebook Pixel to show our Facebook ads only to Facebook users who have shown interest in our website. In other words, we use Facebook Pixel to ensure that our Facebook ads correspond to the user’s potential interests and are not a nuisance. We also use Facebook Pixel to determine the effectiveness of Facebook ads for statistics and market research by seeing when users are redirected to our website after clicking on a Facebook ad.

Userlike Live Chat

Our website uses the live chat program provided by Userlike UG (limited liability) at Probsteigasse 44-46, 50670, Cologne, Germany. You can use the live chat as a contact form to chat with our employees in essentially real time. Personal data is collected when you start the chat.

  • Date and time of the chat
  • Browser type and version
  • IP address
  • Operating system
  • URL of the website previously visited

By accessing sfs.ch, the chat widget is loaded in the form of a JavaScript file from AWS CloudFront. From a technical perspective, your computer runs the source code to make the chat widget appear.

This keeps you from having to detail the history of your inquiry and helps us continuously improve the quality of our live chat feature. Saving the chat data also falls under our information security policy. This data processing is permitted because it corresponds to our legitimate interests. You can find more information in the Privacy Policy of Userlike UG (limited liability). If you wish to reject this practice, you can let us know via the contact information below. AskNicely

We collect customer and user feedback with AskNicely.

On the basis of our legitimate interests (i.e., the interests of analytics, optimization, and economic operation of our website on the basis of GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)), we use AskNicely, a product of AskNicely Limited at 2175 North West Raleigh Street, Suite 110, Portland, OR 97210 USA for the electronic collection of customer and user feedback.

When using the feedback functions, a connection to the IT systems of AskNicely is established, and data entered is stored there. AskNicely is used to automatically send survey emails to collect customer reviews and other customer feedback. When customers respond to such an inquiry, information such as an email address is used to contact the customer, for example to respond to a review or feedback. Responses and data provided are not published. If a user doesn’t wish to provide customer feedback, they can unsubscribe by clicking the Unsubscribe button at the bottom of the email they received. You can find more information at https://www.asknicely.com/privacy.
